Homeschool Drop-In Programs

Every month from September through March, we offer a Tuesday Homeschool program. Want to get outside on a science expedition, meet other families, and learn about a topic in-depth with hands-on exploration? Each program will dive into a different natural science topic. Program runs one hour, from 10am-11am - please arrive a few minutes early so that the program can begin on time. We have a lot of animals, science, and outdoor adventuring to do! Dress for the weather and expect to spend some time outside.

$5 for the family if you're a member of Tanglewood; if you're not yet a member, $10 for the family.  No registration necessary; pay at the door.

2019-2020 topics:

  • 9/24 - What's in the Wetlands?
  • 10/29 - Fall Foliage and Winter Plant Dormancy
  • 11/26 - Skeletal Systems - mammals, reptiles, and birds
  • 12/17 - Natural Art for the Holidays - a Make & Take!  (not the last Tuesday - adjusted for the holidays!)
  • 1/28 - Mad Science Experiments
  • 2/25 - Benefits of Play and the Science of Exercise - for humans and pets!
